About the clinic

A wonderful opportunity to share in and benefit from the extraordinary talent of Mary Wanless, author of Ride With Your Mind, Riding Essentials and 3 other instructional books.

This is your chance to ride with and learn from one of the horse world’s most renouned teachers with expertise in instruction from beginners to Grand Prix riders. Her three day rider biomechanics clinic will address you, as an individual rider with your own needs, to correct your riding position. She is masterful in her ability to see and address your issues and adapt her teaching strategy to your learning style. With her British Horse Society Instructors Certification, training with Nuno Oliveira and Kyra Kyrkland, as well as degrees in physics, dance, neuro-linguistic programming and a masters in applied coaching, Mary brings many valuable skills to the teaching arena. Mary’s favorite quote, “the rider is the cause and the horse the result” becomes evident as the rider changes and the horse improves during the three day clinic. You will go home with the tools to recognize and repeat the changes made while working with Mary.

Fees for this 3 day clinic includes three 1-hour shared lessons or three 45-minute private lessons.
Shared lessons: $550
Private lessons: $725
Deposit: $250
Deposits are refundable, less a $50.00 office fee, and only if we can fill your space.

Stabling Fees

Available at $30/day with bedding included. There is turnout available.

Lease a Lesson Horse

Seneca Sport Horses can provide a few horses for lease. Fee is dependent upon level of horse required. Training level horse is $45/day and upper level horse will be $55/day. Contact Francie Dougherty at senecasport@hughes.net or (301) 467-7873

Auditors
Auditors are welcome and will be able to watch and listen as Mary works with each student to make changes in their bio-mechanics. It is fascinating to watch as the changes she makes in the rider become evident in the improvement in the horses attitude and gait. Auditors will also be welcome to attend and participate in the mid-day discussion.
Auditors (registered by Apr 20): $35/day, $90/all 3 days
Walk-in auditors: $40/day

Services

Video - Clinic Videos by Carol Havelka will be offered to augment your training investment. Private lesson DVDs will be available immediately after your lesson, semi-private shared lessons will usually be available same day.

Excellent audio and visual footage delivered on full size DVD.
Cost: $35.00 per lesson/participant payable at time of service.

Rolfing - An informational session regarding this body work technique and/or individual appointments may be set up with Jonas Abraham, our rolfer with over 20 years and one of the very few trained in equine rolfing techniques.
